“We’ve fished with many guides throughout the states and we have to say Tom is the complete package, his sense of humor is exceptional, he is extremely knowledgable about the area and most importantly we caught an absolute pile of fish! It was constant entertainment. The ride was smooth, his boat was very clean and well-kept. We wouldn’t recommend anyone else but Capt. Tom”

“The best fishing experience in SW Florida. Just fished a charter with Captain Tom on the Peace River. We jumped 8 Tarpons landing 5 of them, over 20 Snook along with a bunch of Snapper and Trout. He has a large wide boat with tons of room for a party of 4 or more, tons of cooler space, and some much-needed shade. Capt. Tom is a great story teller, knows the River and Harbor very well, really shows you the sport, he’s a true sportsman. You will not be disappointed”

“I’ve been booking Tom for around 4 years now and he always delivers. Capt is always honest about what the bite is like, I never feel like he’s doing it just for the paycheck, he truly cares and wants to catch fish none stop. I know he suffered a serious injury a few years back that could have ended his career but to my admiration he battled through and came back stronger than ever. He’s a tough cookie with a big heart. The accent can be a little tough to understand in the beginning though! We can’t wait to fish with him again this coming spring”

“Tom is a very talented all-round angler. We always like to choose a specific species and he is almost always on top of what we choose to catch. He seems to have baby tarpon extremely dialed in on the light tackle. It’s an absolute blast! Certainly one of the best captains in the area”

Frequently Asked Questions

What do I need to bring?

Make sure you bring plenty of food and snacks along with specific beverages you wish to consume too (alcohol is welcome). Please bring sun lotion, a cap and a good pair of polarised glasses too! There is a large cooler on the boat with ice and water provided by your captain, tackle and bait will also be supplied.

Do I need a fishing license?

No, licences are covered under your captain.

Are infants welcome?
Absolutely, there are no age limits. Infants under the age of 6 are required to wear a coast guard approved life jacket so please bring one should your child be 6 or younger.
Where do you collect us from?
Depending on where the bite is hottest, collection is typically at the Laishley boat ramp next to the Crab House in downtown Punta Gorda. Ponce De Leon park is commonly used too! Your Captain will notify you with these details days before your trip.
How quickly will we be fishing once leaving the dock?

Typically within 10 minutes as most fishing spots are relatively close. If the bite is further away and a long run is required, Captain Tom will explain this too you at least a day before and will add the time onto the trip.

Do you only do fishing trips?

No, Captain Tom offers almost any service that provides an entertaining trip on the water. Should you wish to check out the Alligators of the peace river or run southwest and walk the beaches of Boca Grande and Cayo Costa, call your Captain for more information.
